Industrial Silencers: Intakes of diesel and gas engines: Suction of blowers and compressors

Model A9, A10

Model 9 where mid to high frequency noise reduction is required and Model 10 where low to mid frequency is required.

Construction

All welded heavy duty steel. The exterior surfaces are prime coated. The internal surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and coated with rust inhibitor. The filter elements are washable dry tape. Sizes 11/2" through 8" have cylindrical elements, larger sizes have panel type elements. Both elements are of pleated felt, reinforced with wire screen cloth. The filter and silencer are designed to handle relatively moisture free air at temperatures up to 200•F. In Model 9 gas flows through an attenuating chamber and annular airway lined with sound absorbant material and in Model 10 gas flows through a series of ported tubes attenuating chambers which attenuate the noise over a wide frequency range.
