Application The series is designed for high velocity, high pressure discharges of steam and other gases to atmosphere. The series offers three (3) degrees of noise reduction. Model VSI for installations where the backlground noise level is high, Model VSS for installations where some degree of noise level is always present, and Model VSR for here the background noise level is low. Construction All welded steel, the exterior surfaces are prime coated. The glasss flows initially through inlet deffusers which are designed to both distribute the gas flow evenly and to provide effective noise attenuation and then through an annular airway lined with sound absorbent material which is retained by woven fabric, woven steel mesh and perforated steel sheet.
